On day 1, after breakfast at the buffet and a group photo, we walk along the highway from Badwater. After completing 8 miles, we are taken back to the campground where we have a group site where  most of the walkers spend the night. Nearby is a swimming pool and showers to cool down, and at the campsite we have foot bathes and reflexologist, and a pasta dinner. Then for those who want to participate, we have a candle lighting ceremony where we read the names of our loved ones from a scroll that we take turns carrying while walking, and light a candle in their honor or remembrance.

Pack a personal bag into the support van.

Support services, including medical help, will be available throuhout the two day journey.

Upon reaching the 8-mile mark, walkers will be transported back to Furnace Creek Campgound to unwind and reflect with foot baths, reflexology, cold drinks and a candlelight dedication at sunset.

Dinner will be provided. Walkers, supporters and volunteers are invited to stay and enjoy the campfire.

Participants are encouraged to camp with the group at the Furnace Creek Campground.
